PlayStation has announced their next former exclusive to release on PC, and it’s none other than Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
Specifically, Rift Apart is heading to PC on July 26. And as with most other PlayStation 5 titles that got PC releases, this version of Rift Apart will come with a lot of features that are sure to take advantage of high-end PC hardware.
For starters, the PC version of Rift Apart will also feature ray-traced reflections, as well as the newly added ray-traced shadows. There will also be many quality levels to choose from for these so that PC players can tune the settings as best they can for their rigs.
As always, this PC release will come with support for ultra-wide monitors, including 21:9, 32:9, and up to 48:9 resolutions for triple monitor setups. There will also be support for a variety of upscaling tech, including NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 2, Intel XeSS, and Insomniac Games’ Temporal Injection.
Here’s a quick rundown of the game’s PC features:
As for controls, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart on PC will have full mouse and keyboard support with customizable controls. Of course, we believe this is a much better game on a controller, and it features DualSense support complete with haptic feedback and dynamic trigger effects, that is if you’re on a wired connection.
Along with the PC version’s features, PlayStation also announced that digital pre-purchase for the game will come with the following in-game items.
- Pixelizer Weapon
- Carbonox Armor set
As a bonus, the PC version also includes the five armors of the Digital Deluxe Edition and the 20th Anniversary Armor Pack.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will release on Steam and the Epic Games Store on July 26, 2023.
While this is the first game in the series to get a PC release, it’s still a great starting point for those that haven’t played any of Ratchet’s adventures. In our review, we called it a title with engaging gameplay and loveable characters:
